Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm CST

Job Summary: As a Shop Hand in our cabinet shop, you will assist in the production and assembly of high-quality cabinetry. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work environment, supporting skilled tradespeople, and performing various tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the shop.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in Production: Support carpenters and cabinet makers in cutting, shaping, and assembling cabinetry and furniture pieces.

  • Assist in Installation: Support the installation team by transporting, positioning, and securing cabinetry and furniture at job sites, ensuring proper fit and finish while maintaining safety and professionalism.

  • Material Handling: Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring that supplies are readily available for production.

  • Machine Operation: Operate basic woodworking machinery and tools safely, following all safety protocols.

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the shop clean and organized, including regular maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Quality Control: Assist in inspecting finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.

  • Inventory Management: Help maintain inventory levels and assist with stock checks and orders as needed.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in woodworking or a related field is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • The position requires standing for extended periods and may involve lifting and moving heavy materials.

  • Work is conducted in a workshop environment with exposure to noise and dust; appropriate safety gear must be worn.
